Role description

We are looking for someone to take on the role as Line Lead for our Data Warehouse ETL team.

This is a great opportunity for you who is passionate about and has experience with building and maintaining an Enterprise Data Warehouse and how to efficiently manage processes, people, projects and the team around this. The goal is to make sure we have a top-class Data Warehouse solution both technically and when it comes to people, processes and communication.

The Data Warehouse ETL team is one of three teams in the Data department. The other two are BI & Reporting team and Big Data team. The team consists of 11 people based in three locations responsible for building and maintaining a Data Warehouse soution built in Oracle technologies. It is split into three streams each focusing on different business areas. We work according to agile principles and each stream is managed by an Agile Lead. We work with product owners who helps us to work according to the right business priorities.

The Data Warehouse is a key component for the Unibet group that is being used across departments and offices for financial and commercial reporting, dashboards, applications, campaigns and analytics for all our brands. We have an increased focus on the data area and there are lots of interesting challenges coming up related to scaling up, finding new ways of doing things, how to use new data technologies (e.g. Big Data) and enable data as a revenue driver for the company to a larger extent.

Key accountabilities of this role are

Lead and manage the team, support team members, set goals and follow up performance
Make sure the team has the right competence and address any training needs
Perform recruitment, resource planning and salary reviews
Represent the team in different meetings and forums
Continouosly review and optimise the development, testing and release processes
Assist the team in clarifying and challenging requirements
Work closely with other teams and departments to find solutions together
Measure and follow up the effeciency in terms of time to market, incidents and data quality
Be up to date with company strategies and goals and how they relate to the team?s area
Set and communicate a technical vision for the team
Make sure the team delivers a top-class data foundation that meets all business needs
Have a plan for what tools, technologies, concepts and frameworks to be used to meet goals
Define processes and standards for how the team should work with data quality, APIs, security and technical quality and be accountable for that it is being followed

We're looking for someone with the following skills, knowledge and experience

Hands-on experience with building and maintaining a Data Warehouse built in Oracle
Experience with managing a team in an international environment
Strong interest in the data area and be on top of current trends and technology options
Understanding of Big Data technologies and and have ideas how they could be used together with traditional Data Warehouse solutions
Excellent communication skills and a prestigeless can-do attitude

You will work in a fast paced international environment where it is required to learn quickly, be flexible and to liaise with people from different business areas. Some travelling to other offices will be needed.
