Front-End Developer

As a front-end developer in the team you will be driving user experience innovations for our tools for broadcasters around the world. You are genuinely passionate about software development and creating great user experiences, and love the challenge of difficult problems and take pride in ownership of your work. Through what you'll be creating, you'll make the work days better for TV anchors, journalists, editors, producers, operators, video editors and graphics artists around the world. The team is working with Java, SmartGWT, C#, WPF, Jira and Scrum.

The team is creating inventive user experiences designed by the product owner and the UX team.

Viz One is one of our products used for a wide variety of production types: news, sports, archive, online, promo, and program-preparation. Viz One's technology comes from more than 15 years of experience in the MAM industry and is used in more than 200 installations worldwide.

You need to be a skilled front end developer to join our agile Application development team. You need to have good knowledge of designing and implementing new features for both web and desktop applications, and maintain existing features.

This position requires excellent communication skills, as you will be working closely with the product owner and other team members, not only developing features yourself, but also doing pair programming, code reviews, and implementing tests of all kinds.

Essential duties:

Excellent communication skills

Experience with properly applying MVVM concept into applications

Experience with event driven architecture

Experience with developing and maintaining features with extensive testing and BDD style testing.

Experience with writing UI tests using Microsoft UI Automation framework

Fluency in English, both oral and written

At least 4 years of experience with C#/WPF and XAML

Experience with Google Web Toolkit and SmartGWT, Java and Javascript

Broadcast industry experience

Experience in wearing different hats like performing the role of Scrum Master, Release Manager, Bug Master etc.

Good experience in .NET, Prism, MEF, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Springboot

Experience of working with Agile Development Process

Good Understanding of REST, Design Patterns, Code Smells, OOP, SOLID

Good Experience of participating cross team effort of multiple places/countries

Experience in implementing and maintaining architecture of a software component as a Lead
