Automation Test Engineer with advanced JavaScript skills

This role involves working within our Agile Development environment, using the latest tools, with a bunch of dedicated and innovative BAs, Developers and Test Analysts all focused on producing our software applications used not only by our own brands but recognised international financial organisations such as Travelex, Macquarie Bank, MoneyGram and ING DIRECT. You will have the opportunity to contribute to our advanced automation testing framework with the chance to work on the latest technologies/trends in automation testing.

What you do

The primary responsibility is for the manual and automated functional testing of key ASP, C#.Net and REST API based applications for OFX systems. The scope of this responsibility includes the following: - Write and execute test cases for functional and automated tests

• Assist with test process and quality improvements across development
  

•   Provide input into estimations for story planning
  

•   Provide input into refining and managing a strong test automation framework
  

•   Work within an Agile Development Team with a focus on delivering valuable software for the customer
  

•   Provide input into process improvements across the delivery team and the department
  

•   Some manual testing will be required as part of your role
  

What you bring

•  Advanced JavaScript is essential 
  

•   4 + years testing experience at least 2 of those in automation engineering
  

•   2 + years’ experience working within a collaborative agile environment
  

•   2+ years’ experience with good practices of working with Altassian JIRA and Bamboo
  

•   2+ years’ experience in using GIT based version control systems
  

•   Experience of functional testing modern Ajax Web Applications using Selenium or similar acceptance testing frameworks
  

•   Solid experience using Selenium Webdriver and BDD tools such as Cucumber, Mocha etc.
  

•   Proficient with automated web service testing (REST)
  

•   Knowledge of CI/CD processes
  

•   Experience writing clear acceptance criteria in user stories from customer conversations
  

•   The ability to give feedback, and take part in design discussions to determine test approach and effort
