Android Developer

We are now looking for a key member to join our development team and help us expand further, creating and developing a banking app that people will love to use. At Qapital you will work as part of a fantastic and international team, in beautiful offices from Stockholm to New York City.

Responsibilities Advance technical platform Drive the architectural design of components used throughout the application forward
Advocate for technical changes, not driven by feature development

Mentoring more junior developers
Provide technical support for the product, as needed
Be aware of company key metrics, and actively contribute towards them
Lead development projects to completeness
Be involved in TDD or BDD development process
Paying extra attention to clean code and you will use many static analyzing tools

Skills and requirementsMost importantly we want someone who thinks outside the standard conventions and contributes with new interesting ideas on how to build immersive interfaces that feel alive.

At least 2 years of Android development.
Proven experience of Android UI development and the implementation of Material Design interfaces. Either past employment or open source projects..
Experience with RxJava and/or Reactive programming models is a requirement.
Experience with Android Databinding and Model-View-ViewModel architecture are advantages.
Genuine interest in making your UI feel fluent and alive.
Strong background in the Java programming language.
Great team skills, experience of team leadership is a plus.
You have one or more apps you've built or been a part of building.
