Software Engineer

We seek a Software Engineer to design, build, and test application software using C++ and android apps using Java and the Android SDK (Software Development Kit) for various interfaces including phones and tablets.

To qualify for this position you must:
- Have at least one (1) year of hands-on Java and Android App development with demonstrable apps.
- Have at least one (1) year of development experience using C++.
- Have experience with large mobile/tablet applications, TCP-IP socket communication, XML parsing, and web services integration on device database storage and retrieval in an Android mobile environment.
- Have a strong sense of architecture and layout of mobile applications into a modular working environment.
- Be able to troubleshoot and understand codes or samples from other languages and products to apply into Android applications.
- Be able to adhere to critical project timelines.
- Have a strong sense of implementing a clear and innovative user interface and user experience.

Typical responsibilities include:
- producing specifications
- writing software
- writing operating manuals
- testing the product to ensure that it operates satisfactorily
-handling support and feedback

There can be some pressure to meet deadlines, when extra hours may be required.
