Senior Embedded Software Engineer - u-blox

Swiss-based u-blox (SIX:UBXN) is a leading provider of wireless and positioning semiconductors and modules for the automotive, industrial and consumer markets. We are currently seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to strengthen our team in Malmö.

The Senior Embedded Software Engineer designs software for short range radio modules (mainly Bluetooth and WLAN) to make IoT become reality, evaluation kits and verifies their proper functionality and performance according to specification. Furthermore, it also includes writing technical documents as well as to design different software tools associated with the products.

We work in small teams with a great opportunity to influence the tasks and processes.

We also work with other teams in the organization, which leads to a good understanding and an overall impression of the projects and products.

Tasks:

- Design tools and methods
- Software design in C for embedded, real-time systems
- Software development in C# for tools and tests
- Project planning and management in an agile environment
- Technical Documentation (English language)
- Provide input for technical documentation to customer
- Coordinate and manage external partners
- Support module qualification
- Support architectural decisions

Requirements:

- MS or BS in engineering
- Extensive experience in C programming of embedded, real-time systems
- Experience in C# programming is an advantage
- Accustomed to work both independently and in teams
- Good interpersonal skillsand be able to collaborate with internal and external partners
- Version control, preferably GIT
- Knowledge in UML design is an advantage
- Wireless knowledge in general and Bluetooth and/or WLAN knowledge in particular is an advantage
- Knowledge about GCC, embedded debuggers (e.g. Lauterbach, ST-Link), MS Visual Studio is an advantage
- Good English and Swedish skills
- Holder of a Swedish work permit
