Growth Engineer

iZettle lets anyone take secure card payments with their smartphones or tablets. The fast-growing start-up was founded in 2010 and currently has approximately 170 employees across its offices in Berlin, London, Madrid, Mexico City, Sao Paulo and Stockholm (HQ).
 
We are looking for a new amazing colleague to join the iZettle Growth team and help bring our current user growth and engagement to the next level. This is an opportunity to be one of the founding members of our Growth Analytics Platform team and lead the creation of a new Data Warehouse platform.
 
The Growth Analytics team is responsible for designing and building the tools and models that enables us to grow. This means that we spend our days crunching data, designing models and writing code to find new growth patterns.  We have a passionate, open, friendly and we're constantly learning from each other, and sharing our knowledge.
 
You will have a lot to say about what to do and how to do it in our aim to identify and replicate growth patterns.
 
Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and lead the creation of a new Data Warehouse platform
• Develop event driven jobs at the server for several purposes
• Develop and maintain our prediction models at the server to secure growth
• Develop new tools that will help us grow even faster

You're a Developer with 4+ years of experience. Since you will work with large infrastructures and message driven systems we assume that you have a computer science degree or similar and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced organization.

• Skills and experience from Back-end Development
• Skills and experience in Automation
• Skills and experience in Java
• Experience working with relational databases

Extra plus for:

• Experience from machine learning and mathematical programming
• Experience in Spark/Hadoop Ecosystem
• Scripting skills (Python, bash or similar)
• Experience from designing and deploying high performing, distributed applications
