Head of Data

As Head of Data, you will lead a team of talented people with a strong background in database management, data mining and analysis. Head of Data will work as a bridge between the data team, business and different products providing input and ideas to improve our data handling. You will be responsible for the health and accessibility of our data and data structures, as well as leading the innovation around data and its use within the company. We want a data visionary, a leader and a person with hunger and ambition to make data our greatest asset.

Responsibilities:
- Managing and growing the data team as necessary
- Gaining and providing insight into the data our products produce
- Communicating with business and the heads of products to map their needs
- Proactively assisting other departments in becoming more data-driven
- Working with the data team transforming raw data from our products into a format that is suitable to be used for analysis and reporting
- In cooperation with the data team, choosing the right tools to meet our needs
- Documenting data transformation processes and data flows
- Guide, train and help other teams to define and implement reports
- Owning and implementing the company’s data strategy

- Excellent communication and team management skills
- Proficient in oral and written English
- Traditional RDBMS and SQL expertise
- NoSQL solutions expertise
- Thorough understanding of big data and data warehousing solutions
- Vision and understanding of how data can be used to drive the business, now and in the future
- Understanding of the principles of gambling revenue generation and its KPIs
- Skilled at communicating your views in an understandable way, carrying constructive discussions, and setting boundaries when needed

Background:
- University level education in IT / data science
- Previous work experience in data handling
- Experience in data warehousing solutions and data analysis tools
- Knowledge of programming, preferably with Python, is considered an advantage
- General interest in the gambling industry

The Malmö office is perfectly located on Lilla torg, right in the middle of the beautiful old parts of the city. It’s a five minute walk from the central station and all types of shopping and restaurants can be found right outside our doorstep.
