MQ Integration Solution Administrator

You will primarily work with Genium INET: our state of the art trading and clearing platform used to power markets in the Nordics as well as several large markets around the world, such as Singapore Exchange and Hong Kong Exchange and Clearing Ltd.

NASDAQ Global Operations EU is searching for a candidate to work with our MQ based integration platform.

You will work with operations and administration of our Integration platforms in Europe, the platforms use MQ as a transport layer, make extensive use of SWIFT message standards and run on many kinds of operating environments including IBM i. We search for a talent with ambition to grow into a design role for the integration platform and other solutions.

You will work together with development and specialist teams to design, specify and document solutions to support technology needs and to meet client requirements. Apply best practices and advanced methodologies to address changing developments, technology and client environments. You will plan and implement changes in different phases of the technology product life cycle, from inception through introduction into the marketplace. You work close together and collaborate with various functions including network engineering, software development, technical operations and business partners.

This role will focus on Nasdaq’s MQ and SWIFT platforms in Europe but you will also work with other solutions/platforms that we operate.

Position responsibilities:
•Administration, operations and design of MQ services in the Nordics.
•Work together with developer and support teams to design the best solutions.
•Implement new technical solutions for platforms and surrounding system using MQ.
•Perform technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications.
•Design and define system requirements for complex systems and/or prepare studies and analyze existing systems.

Education, Professional accomplishments, and Certifications:

• 2+ years of experience of IT – operations and/or business logic.
• Master of Science degree in computer science or similar level of education.
• Broad technology base and wide range technology knowledge from infrastructure to functionality.
• Experience of operations of large complex real-time transaction systems within the Financial Industry.
• IBM MQ Clustering and Security experience
• MQ operation on platforms Linux, Microsoft Windows, IBM Power8.
• Excellent language skills in written and spoken English
• Knowledge of the SWIFT standards and ecosystem
