Embedded Software Development Engineer – Powertrain Engineering Controls & Calibration 

The Powertrain Engineering Controls & Calibration unit is responsible for the development of transmissions and electric propulsion systems and the controls associated with these systems. Within the Controls & Calibration unit, the Software department is responsible for the development and industrialization of the software for new powertrain systems. These powertrain systems are the main future and global technologies for the Geely group. They are employed in various powertrain configurations ranging from present combustion engines into new energy concepts. The software development and calibration is carried out in-house using state-of-the-art methods.

To strengthen our team for future challenges and projects, we are now looking for a number of embedded software development engineers.

Role Summary 

As Embedded Software Development Engineer you are responsible for the development/integration and testing of software for embedded automotive control systems. Specific duties include the following:

Responsibilities and tasks

- Design of an integration platform capable of assembling both in-house and 3rd-party components into a complete ECU software.
- Software component integration
- Configure software development/integration/build environment
- Handling models and MIL auto scripts testing in Targetlink
- Review C coding and debugging
- Create or modify test cases to ensure thorough software testing
- Conduct HIL and vehicle level software verification work
- Participate in the software change management process

Required Skills and Experience

- Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical or Software engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics or similar
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Experienced in Matlab/Simulink/Targetlink/ Stateflow
- Experienced in reading and debugging C source code
- Experienced in Python
- Good oral and written communication skills in English
- Ability to manage time and meet deliverable timing is critical
- Ability to work independently
- High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team

Preferred Skills and Experience:

- Experience in using software build tools such as Make
- Experience with SystemDesk
- Experience with software configuration management processes
- Experience in the development of real time embedded control systems
- Hardware I/O level controller knowledge is a strong asset
- CAN and LIN communication protocol knowledge is a significant asset
- Continuous integration and delivery
- Autosar Layered Software Architecture
