Developer, CBA Test Services (169251)

We are looking for a person with a passion for test automation, integration, and troubleshooting to strengthen one of our test automation teams.
This position is for you who want to work with a wide-range of exciting and modern technologies, in a mature agile team and program,
have a decisive impact on the success of the Component Based Architecture (CBA) in native and cloud configurations, including the re-use in container based micro-services in PaaS environments. Including developing your competencies in test automation, integration, troubleshooting, and have an eye and devotion to deliver with quality.

Job Description:

At CBA Services, within the PDU Component Development, our mission is to accelerate the adoption of Component Based Architecture (CBA) in all relevant Ericsson products. At present CBA components are used in more than 35 different Ericsson applications. CBA framework provides the ability for application developers to reuse software components, and the freedom to combine them with any other software or hardware, native or cloud. The CBA components are based on state-of-the-art technologies, including a significant amount of open-source software.

At CBA Test Services we perform “Continuous Component Aggregation” / "CI@scale" of CBA components. Here several CBA Components are combined and tested on several reference configurations (RDA), including both native HW, such as BSP, and Cloud, such as Ericsson Cloud Execution Environment (CEE) and VMware. We play the role of a first reference application and provide fast feedback to CBA components and the reference configurations. The verification is highly automated.

We are also part in the evolving eco-system for Value Added Services (VAS) / Common Asset Micro Services (CAMS), where our test automation and integration skills are highly useable when CBA components are reused to build micro-services like Fault, Performance, and Configuration Management in a PaaS environment.

We work in Scrum teams according to agile principles, methods, and tools.

Responsibilities:
- Test analysis and test case development
- Test execution and troubleshooting
- CI development and visualization
- Component and service integration in IaaS and PaaS environments

Requirements:
- Good knowledge in troubleshooting
- Good knowledge of object oriented programming in Java
- Experience of Java development in an Eclipse environment
- Good knowledge in CBA or CBA based applications.
- Experience of continuous integration, preferably using Jenkins, GIT, Maven and Gerrit.
- Good knowledge of working in a Linux environment
- Experience of container technology in cloud environments (CEE, Apcera)

- Good knowledge of working with testing at system use case level
- Product development (especially test processes, test methodology and test tools)

- Team player, working for the team success without personal prestige
- Outgoing and willing to cooperate across teams and organizational boundaries
- Self-motivated with drive and initiative

- Knowledge in JCAT, Jira, Confluence and open source contribution is a merit.
- Web development knowledge, including REST, Spring framework (using Java) or JavaScript, is a merit
