The programme
During the year you will train in readiness to take on a specific role within our organization. By focusing on your personal development and leadership as well as gaining in-depth knowledge of IKEA through trainings in the programme, we believe you will get the right preconditions to develop in your assignment and future career at IKEA IT. Beyond the support from the programme you will have a manager, HR manager and mentor to support you in your development.

At Web & Mobile Infrastructure Operations we keep the lights on 24/7 for the Internet facing applications running on our platform, where IKEA.com with its more than 2 billion customer visits per year is the largest consumer.

To be successful in supporting this area of responsibility it is desirable that you have previous experience from working with IT infrastructure administration, particularly hosting of web solutions. Beneficial technical experience and competences include:
- Administration of java based application servers (preferably WebSphere/Weblogic)
- Web server configuration
- System development of web solutions (preferably enterprise)
- Caching solutions
- UNIX
- Scripting

It’s good if you are familiar with IT Service Management concepts, e.g. the ITIL processes. Experience from working in projects and the ability to keep a holistic and cross-functional view is a strength in order to efficiently work with everything between small isolated support tasks to being a key resource in projects.

As System Specialist you will be working together with a group of creative and driven individuals with a strong sense of togetherness and responsibility who sees obstacles as “solutions waiting to be found”. With high focus on quality we take pride in what we deliver and we have fun while we do it!

Your main assignment in this role is to provide daily support in terms of Incident, Problem, and Change Management to ensure our service level promises are fulfilled, and when ready for it you will be added to the 24/7 on-call rotation schedule. The assignment potentially also involves some project support.

You have:
- a relevant university degree in IT, or equivalent knowledge
- at least one year’s working experience
- a fluent command of English, spoken and written

Start of employment will be in agreement with recruiting manager.
The programme starts in September 2017.
The position is placed in Älmhult.
