VNF Development Center - MTAS

VNF Development Center MTAS is a growing organization charged with the responsibility of developing Eriksson’s Multimedia Telephony Application System (MTAS). Ericsson’s MTAS solution is recognized as the industry leading TAS solution. With increasing customer take up and a drive to move the product to a cloud based environment the MTAS development environment is an exciting and rewarding environment for a product developer. We are now seeking a number of product developers with a passion and willingness to be part of the MTAS organization .

Position Summary
As a product Developer you will work within one of our Cross Functional Teams. Our teams have the responsibility of developing MTAS features from pre-study through to Customer acceptance.
Our product developers work in both C++ and Java and in both native and cloud based environments. Our product developers are expected to collaborate across the MTAS organization and across the PDU Converged Core community (and beyond).
We invest in building and supporting our product developers competence to work on their existing tasks and also future organization needs. With our cloud journey beginning we will ensure all of our developers get the necessary support and training to excel in their work.

Responsibilities & Tasks
Perform Continuous Analysis and Requirement Handling
Develop and Test High Quality Products
Perform Trouble Shooting and Customer Support
Drive Continuous Improvements of Products and Processes

Position Qualifications

Within MTAS we look for well-rounded product developers who can work effectively within a team and under their own initiative.
You have a minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or Wireless Communication or equivalent
Strong communication skills (within a team and organization) and English Skills
Experience of Agile and Lean practices (Scrum, Kanban, Continuous Integration)
A minimum of 2 years of working with software development
Interest in Cloud based development, VNF, VFN

On a technical level we are looking for candidates who have demonstrated skills in some of the following areas:

Programming using object oriented languages (C++/Java)
Linux OS, distributed systems/clusters
Test automation, preferably using Java
Script based development (e.g. Perl, Bash, Python)
Familiar with Jenkins, GIT, Eclipse
Experience in working in an Open Source community
