Position Summary

At the heart of Innovation, Ericsson’s Radio Units are aimed for all present Wireless standards and new/future ones like NR/5G, IoT, NBIoT. To achieve this, we brought together a leading Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and Hardware (HW) Team to drive Research and Development (R&D) within this area by taking part of all developments phases from research to studies, product developments and advanced troubleshooting.

On a daily basis, we essentially work with the Digital part of our Radio Units that is used in all our Base Stations. Our main focus is on algorithm development for Linearization and Crest Factor Reduction (CFR), Firmware (FW) for algorithm control and functions in MCUs (Micro Controllers), algorithms for steering and control of Radio Function and other enhancement of Radio performance via Digital Signal Processing.

We are now looking for an experienced Developer to strengthen the Team and take part in Ericsson’s 5G journey. The job ranges from systemization of the different Digital Radio functions to coding and verification including hands-on work in the Lab and TR investigations.

Position Qualifications

Core Competences:

- Master Degree or similar in Electrical engineering, Engineering physics or Computer Science;
- Strong experience in the areas of signal processing, Telecommunication, Radio Technology;
- You are an experienced user of Matlab;
- Good knowledge of Radio system requirements for the standards GSM, LTE, WCDMA, CDMA etc.

Skills considered as a merit:

- SW architecture, SW testing and Programming skills (mainly C/C++);
- Document and report writing;
- Scrum and Kanban methodology;
- Radio HW design;
- HW near Firmware (SW);
- Experience in designing Radio signal processing blocks, e.g. Digital filters, crest-factor reduction or linearization;
- The combined knowledge of both HW and Firmware/SW domain;
- You are result-oriented, self-driven and have excellent communication and social skills;
- You are fluent in English and a good level in Swedish is preferable.
