Arbetsuppgifter
We now have an open position for a Scientific Software Developer to our Gothenburg office. The job will focus on working with the software included in all instruments in the portfolio. This includes developing software managing the instruments, presenting data from measurements and developing software tools to analyze data in a Windows environment. The main thrust will be the latter, i.e., in developing our analytical software and taking its analytical powers and user interface to the next level. The essence of the job will be to satisfy our instrument users by providing functional, robust and easy-to-use software. This will require not only a good understanding of the physics behind the measurement principles, mathematical modeling, etc, but also an awareness of the needs of our users and how they want to be able to interact with our instruments. This understanding should be the basis on which a user-friendly software suite is built.

Utbildning/Erfarenhet
MSc in Physics, Electrical engineering, or equivalent .5-10 years' work experience as software developer in a high-tech environment .Skills in building user-friendly Desktop GUIs .High skills in working with Java SE 8 & Swing on Windows OS .High skills in working with agile methodology including Scrum .Ability and willingness to learn new programming languages and tools as needed. .Ability and willingness to work both independently as well as part of a team. .Ability and willingness to learn and work on old legacy code bases, as well as create new ones. Good command of written and spoken English.
