The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is a joint department at Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg, with activities on two campuses in the city of Gothenburg. The department has around 240 employees from over 30 countries. Our research has a wide span, from theoretical foundations to applied systems development. We provide high quality education at Bachelor's, Master's and graduate levels, offering over 120 courses each year. We also have extensive national and international collaborations with academia, industry and society.

Information about the position and the project
The position is part of the Goal-Oriented Requirements Engineering for Game Development (GOREforGaming) ICT Area of Advance: 2017 SEED project. The project is hosted be the Software Engineering and Applied IT Divisions with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

The Department has 76 faculty members and enrolls about 70 PhD students from more than 30 countries. The research spans the whole spectrum, from theoretical underpinnings to applied systems development. There is extensive national and international collaboration with academia and industry all around the world.

The 6-month research project is aimed to investigate the applicability of existing Goal-Oriented Requirements Engineering techniques and tools from Software Engineering to the area of Dame Development. As part of the project the researchers will perform several interviews and demos of the techniques with game developers, gathering feedback on the specific tool and method needs of game developers. This feeback will be implemented into the existing, web-based Creative Leaf tool (http://creativeleaf.city.ac.uk/), and these changes will be further evaluated by game designers. The feedback will help to formulate new research pursuits in the areas of Requirements Engineering and Game Development. 

Major responsibilities
The responsibilties are mainly technical development, although the selected applicant is welcome to particiate in the wider research project. The selected application will gain technical experience, experience in Requirements and Software Engineering Techniques, and an exposure to ongoing research projects.

Technical responsibilities include implement changes in the existing Creative Leaf code base:
- port tool to Chalmers server
- apply existing fixes from the Leaf tool branch
- minor changes for increased usability
- apply more significant changes discovered from our parallel research study, possibly including:
   - support for mutiple model views
   - support for managing desired model conflicts
   - support for tabular visualization
   - support for downstream transformation

Qualifications
The applicant must be comfortable with web development, including JavaScrip, JQuery, and PHP. Must have good English communication skills.
