Core & Common Component HW, as part of PDU EI within DUCN, develop and maintain a large share of Ericsson's internally developed hardware. The products span everything from high-speed back planes, switch cards, standard processor based server cards and line cards to application specific hardware solutions. We are always working with the absolute leading edge technology and we use the latest, most powerful processors and switches.

Job Summary:

As a Developer at CCC SW Design, you will develop and maintain products, including development activities like requirement analysis, design, integration, verification, configuration management, PLM support and product documentation.

Within SW Design we participate from pre-study to design follow-up and maintenance in the majority of our hardware development projects. We work tightly with hardware developers, testers, production sites, and certification engineers to develop the software needed to boot, start and verify the hardware. The software is also used for verification of the boards when produced in the factory.

The software development is done in small flexible teams. In the early phases of the development projects we often use emulators, in the middle of projects we are working with board bring-up, using prototype hardware and in the later phases of the project we finalize production test software and utilities. Since part of the software is programmed to the hardware in the factory and needs to be working flawlessly in order to start the hardware, we put a lot of effort into quality assurance.
