Are you passionate about software development? Do you want to be involved in using modern development technologies for more effective testing using Hardware In the Loop (HIL)?

Do you want to work on the big picture, but still dive down into the details?

Do you want to work on Scania’s future system innovations?

Then you are the person we are looking for at the Integration Test Automation group. We are responsible for developing and maintaining HIL vehicle rigs for system integration tests at complete vehicle level, and for conducting system integration tests in the test environment.

Within our ‘Systems Development’ department, we make tough demands on the embedded systems we develop to ensure they have the right functionality, are traffic-safe and free from serious defects. The group is divided into two teams, one with responsibility for the test environment, the other for the testing. You will be joining the test environment team and will help to ensure that there is always a functional test environment available for the testers to carry out their tests in.

Your duties
In order to be able to test the vehicle’s electrical systems in the rig, we use one of the world’s largest HIL systems that supports a large number of truck and bus configurations. The purpose of HIL is to trick the system and its component parts into believing it is executing in a real vehicle with all its dynamics. This is achieved using real-time execution of environmental models. In order to be able to automate the tests, we have constructed a test framework for the rig. One of your tasks is to develop and maintain the test framework. Another task is to develop the models for vehicle and environment simulation and further develop the HIL concept into a modular platform that can support Scania’s functional growth. As we work on testing at whole vehicle level, you will gain a broad understanding of most of Scania’s systems and functions. With us, innovation is important, and we work on continuous improvements. Together we adopt and shape the group’s working methods.

Your profile
You are a graduate engineer. You will preferably have experience of Python, C#, .Net, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, MongoDb, SQL server, Matlab, Simulink and Labview or equivalent. Ideally, you should have a number of years’ experience of control system and software development. Experience of working on automated test systems, preferably from dSPACE and or NI, and agile methods are definite advantages. We value people who get things done, like to cooperate and drive things forward. A minimum requirement is a class B driving licence, but C/CE D/DE would be an advantage. You master both Swedish and English, spoken as well as written.
