Responsibilities
Kalkulo is seeking applications for a (Senior) Scientific Programmer to strengthen our software development team.
The candidate we are looking for will work on a project that Kalkulo runs towards a specific client within the Oil Industry. You will mostly sit in the client's offices and work as part of a team of 3-4 expert software developers, lead by the client. Your day-to-day work will consist in various tasks in the area of cloud high-performance computing infrastructure. As a Kalkulo representative you are expected to strive to take care of the client's interest, in the best possible way, at all times.
Your profile
Kalkulo is looking for talented and highly motivated people with a strong interest in developing software solutions for scientific applications. We expect that you are self driven and cooperative and enjoy working in an agile and creative environment.
The typical qualification is a Master or PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or Computational Physics. We are looking for a candidate with at least 2-3 years of work experience after graduation, preferably including consultancy work and client follow-up.
We expect that you have experience in, and is passionate about, one or more of the following topics:
.cloud and network programming,
.high performance computing and parallelization,
.systems programming, infrastructure, Linux administration,
.code optimization of numerical algorithms.
Moreover, you are familiar with some of the following languages/tools: Java, C++, Python, OpenMP/TBB, MPI, OpenCL/CUDA.
