Software Application/Algorithm Development Engineer

Finisar Sweden develops and manufactures semiconductor lasers and high speed modulators for fiber optical communications. Work description
In the role as developer you will work within a growing team of seven people with following job tasks . The design and delivery of applications for the automated characterization and control of leading-edge complex semiconductor optical components. . To validate new scripts prior to final release to the Operations team in advance of deployment to volume manufacturing. . Participate in peer reviews of their processes and code. . Daily interaction with on-site teams across multiple disciplines (Chip Design, Wafer Fabrication Process Engineering, Operations, Quality and Reliability, Project Management). . Opportunity for travel to multiple sites across Europe, the US and China.

Kvalifications
MSc with 0-5 years, or PhD with 0-3 years of work experience, from software engineering, optoelectronics, electronics or engineering physics . Software development experience in at least C environment . Experience with developing algorithms for the efficient acquisition and processing of multidimensional data (signal/image processing) . Matlab . Test automation . Applied mathematics/Physics . Modelling/Simulation . Lab-environment experience; Instrumentation . Optoelectronic / electronic device characterization . Statistical analysis . Telcordia standards
