Storytel is Northern Europe's largest audio book service for mobile phone. We are offering thousands of audiobooks and e-books in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Holland, Poland, Finland & Russia, and is expected to to enter several new markets within this year. We see ourselves as the market leader for streamed audiobooks and our focus is to supply a great experience to our customers and have fun at work!

Who are we looking for:

We’re looking for an user interface designer, that’s capable of working in close relation to other UX/UI designers and developers while keeping the end-user in mind. You should have a great sense of balance between the visual aesthetics and the functionality of the feature/product.

As a part of a bigger team, you will be translating ideas and business goals into executable and feasible designs documents. You’re visionary, bold thinking and most importantly willing to learn.

What will you do?

- Produce design documents for digital projects including (not limited to): icons, mock ups, creating app or web assets and style guides.

- Estimate and communicate design scope to lead designers and/or developers.

- Making interactive prototypes, animations, images, presentations – whatever it takes to communicate your work.

- Work closely with project support staff including developers and project managers.

- Working with new experimental features.

Your Qualifications

- Experience and vocabulary to concept and collaborate on strategic ideas with designers and developers.

- Previous mobile app or website experience.

- Ability to take feedback constructively and iterate on designs and ideas from multiple stakeholders with different views.

- Fundamental understanding of web design standards and best practice, Google’s Material Design guideline and Apple’s iOS human interface guideline.

- Competence in layout, color theory and typography.

- Experience with digital products and know the different platform constraints.

- Mastered softwares such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch or similar.

- Experience with prototype tools like InVision, Proto.io (http://proto.io/) or similar.

- Problem-solving skills and an eye for details.

- Master googling skills.

- Portfolio of previous projects should be provided.

Its beneficial if...

- Experience with animation in general (After Effects, Principle or similar)

- Experience with design hand-off services like Zeplin or similar

- Any programming skills

- Have an appreciation of books or audiobooks.

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in graphic design, visual arts, digital media, or similar.
