IKEA is seeking a Test Specialist to join the group of test automation engineers at TestCenter, IKEA, and take part in the exciting journey that lies ahead of TestCenter for the upcoming years. In the role as Test Specialist with focus area of test automation, you are expected to work in areas of automation testing, test environments, data conditioning for test automation resources in different projects out in the IKEA IT landscape. Assignments change from short tasks such as implementing scripts and utility tools as needed by the projects or internally within TestCenter to longer assignments in one of the many projects in the IKEA IT landscape.

Perhaps you have worked a couple of years with test and validation, or as a scripter/developer or perhaps you have worked with manual testing but improved your programming skills on the side. Either way, you have a strong will to learn more about the wonderful area of test automation, the continuous integration aspects of automation and being a part of a test family at IKEA. You are innovative and service minded and you easily build trustful relationships with others. In the role, you are expected to have a strong interest in software and programming, can work independently and collaborative in a team but most important be curious and willing to push yourself outside of your comfort zone. You have great communication skill and you are able to assist and listen to people at different levels.
Besides a strong interest in software development, we believe that you have experience from working with scripting and/or object-oriented languages e.g. C# or similar. You have experience from working with one or more test tools e.g. Selenium, SoapUI, Watir, UFT, nUnit, etc. and a demonstrated ability to build and maintain code repositories with Git or SVN.
It is preferable if you have one or more of the following qualifications:
• Ability to create and design test automation and test infrastructure
• Experience working with ALM
• Proven ability to write automated test scripts to verify desktop and web application features
