IKEA is seeking a Senior Test Specialist to act as technical lead in the test automation team at TestCenter. In the role, you are expected to guide, assist and inspire your co-workers and help them achieve new heights in their journey as automation engineers. This should be done in parallel to your own implementation work where you take on the challenges of evaluating new tools, designing and developing proof of concepts etc. for future use in the area of test automation and continuous integration at IKEA. You will also communicate with projects, suggest technical solutions and possible way forward with test automation.

You have great communication skill and are able to coach and educate people at different levels. You are innovative and service minded and you easily build trustful relationships with others. You are most likely a skilled programmer with an eye for details, proficient in a number of different programming languages and techniques but still eager to learn new things. You have a strong understanding of continuous integration, agile ways of working and the value of coding discipline. You have the ability to produce documentation for automated frameworks and cross-train other engineers.
We believe that you have knowledge in a variety of languages, test automation frameworks, tools and techniques including, C#, Java, Selenium, SQL, SoapUI, UFT, nUnit, etc. You have demonstrated ability to build and maintain code repositories with Git or SVN.
It is preferred if you have the ability to create and design test automation and test infrastructure and knowledge in object-oriented development principles using C# or similar. It is also preferably if you have experience with the test tools UFT and SoapUI and proven ability to write automated test scripts to verify desktop and web application features. Besides that, you have demonstrated ability to set up Jenkins jobs and environments.
