Role Summary:
We are seeking a Content Manager/Information Architect, to the Life Sciences Technical Documentation Group in Uppsala, Sweden. The group produces and maintains customer-focused end-user documentation that supports products manufactured in multiple locations of GE Healthcare Life Sciences.

Essential Responsibilities:
This position will be accountable for maintaining and developing the Content Management system and related processes. Furthermore, the position will be responsible for, editing and publishing end-user documentation and administrating translation projects.

-Maintaining and developing the Content Management System used for issuing, editing and publishing user facing documentation such as operating instructions, unpacking instructions, site preparation guides, user manuals, online help/HTML etc.

-Defining, implementing and maintaining related instructions and processes.

-Updating and maintaining publication style sheets to make sure that the creation of customer-focused end-user documentation meets corporate standards and style.

-Information Architect/Content Strategist - Establishing and maintaining the DITA information structure/architecture.

-Localization coordinator - Administrating translation projects and handovers between internal and external stakeholders. Maintaining terminology glossaries.

-Issuing, editing and publishing customer-focused end-user documentation.

-Assisting in the definition of development tools and platforms for efficient production and maintenance of end-user documentation and instructions within Life Sciences.

-Maintaining document revision logs.

Qualifications/Requirements:
-MSc or BSc degree preferably in computer science, or related field; with strong relevant work experience.

-Knowledge of XML format and programming.

-Experience of DITA.

-Experience of Astoria or other XML based Content Management Systems.
Experience of database administration and maintenance.

-Experience of Computer Aided Translation platforms (CAT), such as SDL/Trados.

-Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

-Ability to work on multiple projects at once, to work independently and as part of a team, to work under time pressures and meet deadlines, to work with

-Technical Writers, translation vendors, purchasing department and project managers.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

-Demonstrated ability to pursue tasks to completion, results oriented.

-Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

-Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, initiative.

-Fluent in English and Swedish.

Desired Characteristics:
-Experience of oXygen XML editing system.

-Experience of Skribenta.

-Familiarity in desktop publishing tools including Adobe InDesign, FrameMaker, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat.

-Experience of application testing, new or upgraded tools

-Experience of different IT infrastructure environments (internal/external cloud, master server/replication servers)

-Experience of CAD related tools (Creo & PDMLink, SolidWorks & SmarTeam)
