Full-stack Developer for Volumental, High Tech startup creating 3D revolution

Volumental is a global technology leader for 3D scanning for retail. We launched our product in 2016, are already live in 32 countries and have signed deals with the biggest names in the industry like Bauer and New Balance.

Our technology combines cutting edge computer vision with great user experience. We are currently looking for an experienced full stack developer to join our tech team and contribute drive and fresh insights as we scale up our web stack. 

Your tasks at Volumental will include shaping the web application layer and core infrastructure behind our business offering, bringing your experiences and skills to an agile and interdisciplinary team of experts. You will take an active role in evaluating and selecting tools and platforms, and work closely with tech specialists as well as the sales and business development teams. You will be a successful pragmatist, knowing which corners to cut to deliver early vs. where to be thorough to maintain quality.

 Responsibilities:

• Write clean, testable and maintainable code for both backend and frontend
• Be flexible and help wherever you are needed
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Required skills:

• At least 1-2 years of experience working with Javascript and Python.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds.
• Strong understanding of Python on the backend using frameworks such as Flask and Django.
• Good understanding of cloud infrastructure services such as Google Cloud or Amazon Web Services.
• Good understanding of JavaScript frontend frameworks (React, Angular etc).
• Good understanding of code versioning using Git.
• Basic understanding of web markup, including HTML and CSS.

We’ve studied and researched at universities including Cambridge, Oxford, Stanford, Columbia and KTH, and our team includes five PhD level computer vision researchers. Together we bring expertise in 3D reconstruction, computer vision, programming and business development to allow users easy access to the 3D revolution. Our tech founders and professor advisor hold 4 patents and have founded four startups.
