Software Engineer for a media tech company

Speakerbox is building a multi-platform production and distribution technology for the media industry. Our system is made of apps that are designed to handle live video: one for capturing content on a mobile; one for interactive viewing; and one for behind-the-scenes production, audience interaction, clip distribution, and project oversight.

We have three customers, more projects in the pipeline, and our third seed investment round closing shortly. We are a team of six, with three building the tech and three working on business development.

We need a developer to work on building deeper technology that our product uses to handle live media content end-to-end. We prefer a developer with experience in object-oriented development (especially C++), and skills in video handling and image recognition would be very valuable.

As we are a small team working to iterate our product and aggressively enter the digital media industry, we need developers who can contribute their own ideas, work effectively in a team, and communicate very well. Working in a startup demands that you can define your own work, and connect with people in other job roles.

Education in computer science or engineering is preferred, but not required if you have relevant job experience. A background in media tech, sports media, or realtime video is an asset.
