Software Tester for Electrified Cars

According to most experts and companies, the future of the automotive industry is electric cars. Volvo Cars aims to sell up to 1,000,000 electrified cars by 2025! Do you want to be a key contributor to reach this goal? Do you want to utilize the state of the art methods to test the software used in next generation electrified luxury cars from Volvo? We are a team consisting of 25 talented software developers and testers. We have a highly agile, open and energetic work environment where we continuously strive for improvement and welcome all kind of new and creative ideas.

We are now looking for a Software Tester who will perform simulations for the high voltage battery and charging systems with the purpose of testing and verifying the functionality used in the software that controls these systems. You will work in a pure virtual test environment and utilize state of the art methods to increase the software quality by catching faulty assumptions and bugs as early as possible. To this end, our team has strong cooperation with top universities in the world that are experts in software testing of embedded systems. Our goal is to automate the software testing procedure as much as possible by combining formal methods and statistics. Most of the modelling and testing are performed using Matlab/Simulink, together with externally and internally developed tools. 

Job Description
* Develop test benches in Simulink
* Derive test suites both manually and automatically using the existing tools
* Analyse the simulation test results and give proposals on how to improve design and calibration data
* Deliver test results in a structured way
* High cooperation with the development teams working in an agile setup
* Assist the improvement work around software test strategies and methods
 

Your Profile
* Excellent in Matlab/Simulink
* Experienced in Python or C/C++
* Striving for scripting and automating
* Structured, data driven and good documentation skills
* Integrity, courage and positive energy
* Cooperative, transparent, good communication skills.
* Good English skills, both verbally and in writing
