DICE (EA Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment), the award-winning developer based in Stockholm, Sweden, is best known for creating the phenomenally successful Battlefield franchise with the widely acclaimed Battlefield 1 being the latest installment. DICE is looking for system designers with a focus on economies and progression.  Build great systems that cohere with great gameplay. The job will touch upon character progression, itemization, rewards, meta-systems and overall systemic cross-pollination & balancing.
 
You’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, validating and course-correcting systems and thereby play an integral part for the game at launch and forward, working closely with both creatives, BI, producers, UX, telemetry & engineering.
 
 
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
Own complex game progression and economy systems that engage the player
Design rules, balance them, implement and iterate, while maintaining documentation of design solutions
Help & mentor developers towards a holistic understanding of how the economies and systems drive the game experience forward
Work with a “the Player is first” mindset
Play an integral part in designing and implementing the infrastructure of the game experience from conceptualization to release and onwards

Requirements:
Deep experience with systems design, progression and player driven economies
Excellent analytical skills
Experienced working with with big data sets and telemetry
3+ years of experience in relevant game development
At least one shipped AAA or relevant title in a system -or economy design role
Scripting experience
Strong passion for building and/or playing shooters
Collaborative and flexible mindset
Excellent English communication skills
