Trustly is a licensed payment institution under supervision of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen) and subject to a set of regulatory requirements. About the Business Intelligence and Data Analytics team: The Business Intelligence and Data Analytics team at Trustly is small but growing. As part of the larger Product function, the team is responsible for using all the data we collect to analyse Trustly's products, end users and merchants. This provides valuable insights to the entire company. About the Data Engineer role: Trustly’s Business Intelligence and Data Analytics team is growing and we are seeking someone who can help handle and structure our data. We currently use Qlik Sense with imports from our transactional database, but the Data Engineer will work to ensure we use our data to its fullest potential in making and following up on decisions. Most importantly, the right person for this role will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Priorities may change quickly and if there is not a process in place, it will be up to you to involve the right people and set it up. You’ll have the opportunity to join and build the company’s BI and Data Analytics function from an early stage and drive your vision. What you'll do:

• Set up the data pipeline from different source systems to provide good data for our analytics tools
• Create a good, scalable data structure; currently the data resides in our Qlik Sense installation but other setups will be on the table in the future
• Work closely with the Head of BI & Data Analytics to decide on the technical infrastructure for the company’s BI and data analytics solution and long-term data strategy

Requirements:

• MSc or BSc in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3+ years of relevant work experience
• Good knowledge of SQL
• Programming experience from some language, e.g. Python, Java
• Experience designing and developing data warehouses
• Experience transforming and cleaning different sorts of source data to be imported into a data warehouse/BI tool
• An analytical mindset with attention to detail and a willingness to learn new technologies
• Ability to work independently and self-sufficiently; we want you to tell us what to do, not the other way around
• Experience from QlikSense is a plus
