Axis is looking for the right person to fill an open position as Analytics Engineer at the Core Technologies department within our Research & Development (R&D) organization.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a Video analytics Engineer you will be part of the innovative Analytics competence group within Core Technologies. The team plans and develops advanced image analysis algorithms for network devices, to be on the market within five years. It delivers a wide range of video analytics functionality, at both low and high system levels. Algorithms are mainly developed in embedded C or hardware together with other Core Technology teams.

The team is furthermore responsible for the infrastructure required to integrate video analytics in Axis embedded platforms and SDK for use by external or internal partners. Your main focus will be to develop algorithms to continue our successful analytics strategy for network video surveillance.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Algorithm development for analytics applications within computer vision and audio analysis etc., this also includes integration into product platforms.
* Development of video analytics code libraries for use by 3rd party developers.
* Researching new analysis technologies for video surveillance.
* Supporting application development in product development projects.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe you have a Master degree in Technical engineering or equivalent and excellent skills in algorithm development for video analytics. You have also excellent C-programming skills as well as good skills in software modularization, module interface design and hardware abstraction techniques. You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience.

We also believe you have knowledge of implications of limited resources in embedded systems on algorithm development and experience of embedded systems programming under Linux. Knowledge of algorithm development for applications outside the video domain, e.g. audio is considered a merit

Excellent skills in Swedish and English written & oral communication is required

Furthermore you have a general ability to work very well with others, you are interested in sharing your work and are used to work in a team oriented environment. You should have an open mind and be able to think outside the box.

THE TEAM
The Core Technologies – Analytics & Systems team are responsible for the long-term technology agenda within the strategic areas Analytics and Systems. We perform technology roadmapping; execute the roadmap by developing technologies and assist toward platform integration of technologies. We also act as a competence centre within Axis with regard to the core competence areas. In addition to this we define test methods and standards to be used by Axis as a whole. 

The Analytics competence group within Core Technologies – Analytics & Systems focus their work on identifying and implementing technologies aimed at increasing the value of the network for surveillance applications. This includes algorithm development for video analytics, identification of new technology trends and technology development using combinations of sensors for improved analytics.
