Information about the Volvo Group IT Graduate Program:

The Volvo Group IT Graduate Program gives you a unique opportunity to gain a holistic view of the Volvo Group IT and to kick-start your career through international assignments, work in different parts of the organization, networking, and professional and personal development. Upon completion of the program, you will continue to work in the position you were recruited in, either in the same delivery or in another assignment.

The program runs for 11 months starting in end of August 2018 and will include 6 countries. The program includes a combination of common and individual graduate activities and day-to-day work at the home department. It also consists of common development activities at different locations globally, where the participants meet and network.

The program also includes learning activities in your home organization and an international assignment.

During the program you will participate in training sessions covering fundamental Group concepts, such as diversity, personal development, project management, cross cultural communication etc.

Position

You will work in a project or delivery team, where global complexity and business innovation are part of your daily work. You will have a home base together with colleagues working in the same field as you, where you share knowledge and experiences.
Our flexible organization gives you a golden opportunity to take part in different projects over time where you develop a good understanding of the business goals and stakeholder needs. Our different IT roles are assessed on different levels and together we will plan for your professional development. We are focusing on continuous competence development and you will find a lot of training and career opportunities within Volvo Group IT.

Tasks would include:
The tasks will differ depending on which delivery you will be assigned to. As a member of the daily work in your assignment and the Graduate program you will be involved in a lot of different activities: e.g. stakeholder requirements, end user studies, pre-studies, modeling and design, to capture both future and existing business opportunities, programming skills in JAVA and more.
In the initial steps of your professional development, you will work close together with senior colleagues.

Travel
Limited travelling is required. Part of the trainee program will be work experience abroad.

Overall requirements:
•Master of Science, Master of Computer Science or equivalent
•Valid work-permit for applied country if not citizen
•Excellent spoken and written English (additional languages are given merit)
•Maximum of two years previous work-experience after graduation
Education
Master of Computer Science, Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent
