Java System Developer

LocalizeDirect's content management system powers the localization toolchain at many of the top game developers in the world. Warner Bros, Capcom, NCSoft, Bethesda, Square Enix and King all use our CMS.

We are now developing our next generation CMS using modern technology combined with years of experience of developing a similar product. If you have the skills and are up for the challenge of building a world-class product for world-class users, then we'd love to hear from you.

You have a thorough understanding of computer code and know bits and bytes and have programmed in languages such as C/C++ and Java.

You love programming and have projects you can show us that you finished - not just projects from previous jobs or school - your own projects that you made because it is fun to program. We care more about your ability to learn on your own and use how you’ve been using your programming skills than any school degree.

Some skills that we lack and need you to complement is experience from software deployment and scaling on Linux machines.

To sum things up so far:

Moving on to "nice-to-have's" it would be sweet if you have prior experience developing and running microservices using event sourcing. You'll be working on the backend, and everything will be accessed via an API so experience in developing and designing API:s, or even just an interest in the matter, would be extremely helpful.

From the beginning we were a team of ex-game developers who wanted to take the pain out of the localization process (that is, translating your game into many languages). Now the team has expanded to include sales, localization and marketing. We're creating a CMS that manages all the loc-data in the game and allows everyone involved in the translation process to work together. Some of our clients include Square Enix, WB, Microsoft, Avalanche Studios, NCSoft and Capcom. Cool games that have used our tech includes Doom, Batman Origins and Shadow of Mordor.

We're based in Helsingborg, a great coastal city in southern Sweden. Our team is small but experienced and anyone working here will have a great impact on our products.
