Software Designer MacGregor Örnsköldsvik
Objective of the position
We are looking for a developer of embedded software for MacGregor world leading shipboard cranes. As a software designer, you will be part of the R&D team and your role will include development activities such as: requirement analysis, system design, software design, integration, verification, support and product documentation.
Key accountabilities
Working in all product development phases from pre-study to end of life:
- System Design
- Software Development Embedded Systems
- Simulation, scripting and tool automation for software verification
Cooperation with other disciplines, such as
- Electrical and hydraulic Design
- R&D-testing
- Production
- Suppliers
Drive continuous improvements of products and processes
We expect from you
To be successful in this position, we believe you have the following background
- Master's or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, electrical engineering or related field
- Good knowledge about C/C++
- Experience with code coverage and static analysis tool
- Experience of release management tools such as Subversion, Jira
- Passionate about coding and software development
- Flexible and problem solving with analytical qualities
- Able to develop and present new and innovative solutions
- Adapt easily to new techniques and keen to increase knowledge
- As the position will have many internal and external contacts, good communication skills and proficient of spoken and written English is important.
