We are growing and currently looking for an energetic database developer who would like to join our core tech team of roughly 20 people. As a database developer at hitta.se you'd primarily be working with Oracle, but with opportunities to work with PostgreSQL, MongoDB and MySQL as well as other database systems. 

We are looking for people who can compliment our existing team and primarily work with our systems that are currently written in PL/SQL and C#.

Your profile must-haves

• You've been working as a database developer min. 2 years
• Experience of developing and/or migrating PL/SQL
• Good analytic and problem solving skills

Your profile nice-to-haves

• University educated or equivalent
• Have a good understanding of object-oriented programming (Much of our data processing logic is being moved from stored procedures to C# or Java modules)
• You follow the development of new technology and development methods.
• A knowledge of or experience of Advanced queuing, API development and Cloud computing would be an advantage (for example Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Engine or Microsoft Azure)

hitta.se has a tech team of about 20 people working in one big room in the beautiful former KTH building near Odenplan. It is divided into several smaller teams. Each has a designated priority, so we have teams for search, database, maps, UX, apps and so forth. If they want to, developers can rotate between teams every quarter. Teams have a lot of freedom to chose the way they want to work.

Our primary products are web search and our mobile app. Most projects have short release cycles, with new features deployed frequently. A few projects are larger (such as migration projects) and go on for months.

We have adopted a pseudo-agile approach with a Kanban board on the wall with sticky notes. Every morning at 9.15 we have stand-ups, where developers get to tell their teams about their current work. We use Git to manage our code repositories and have a QA who controls testing and deployments. There is also a CTO who is involved in tech decisions, recruiting etc.

We have about 4 million unique users per week, so as a developer you can be sure that your code will be enjoyed by lots of people!
