Position Summary

In Product Development Unit (PDU) 4G5G we have several departments in Linköping responsible for 5G base station SW development. Enabling the high level 5G uses cases, Enhanced mobile broadband, Massive machine type communication, Ultra-reliable and low latency communication. The PDUs responsibility in Linköping expands from systemization, development, testing and product line maintenance.

Job description

At PDU 4G5G RAN Product Integration and Release (PIR), our responsibility is to ensure that the quality and functionality of both LTE and 5G RAN to fulfill our customer expectations. Today we work in an international environment with colleagues in Europe, Asia, and North America. a. We are looking a Product Guardian supporting our PIR area working on verification, continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD). At PDU 4G5G PIR we work with the product end-to-end enabling a very broad view of the complete system in a customer like environment.

The daily work consists of working together with the Operative Product Owner and Test Manager to ensure that the area continuously improves its operations. The Product Guardian (PG) is responsible for breaking down the requirements for the test analysis with the focus on how it can be implements with test coverage, effectiveness, and cost in mind. The PG is responsible to drive and maintain the area roadmap, legacy assurance activities and the areas test methodology.

The role requires individuals who demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit, possesses strong team working and communication skills, and are highly motivated to deliver product with high quality. You need to manage a changing product scope, normal project work as well as continuous evaluation and improvement of our processes and ways of working. We expect you to always act with flexibility and find new solutions enabling us to be better than yesterday.

PDU 4G5G is leading the transition towards Lean and Agile and we work with continuous improvements and Scrum/Kanban in our daily operation. Automation is a central part of our daily work. Short feedback loops are important in our development process, which is based on Continuous Integration practices.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements

MSc level in a technical discipline or the equivalent level of knowledge
Excellent communication skills
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Experience in programming in Java, Python or other object oriented or functional language
Leadership experience
