Assignment description
• You will work as an Automation Test Engineer
• Take technical ownership of testing procedures including smoke, daily and regression testing
• To work with Test Team Lead and Software Team to test and deliver high quality, scalable, robust, maintainable and secure system products.
• On a day to day basis role is to consist of large amount of hands on testing and interaction with software and hardware development teams.

Education/training
Our rolls requires a basic technical education, sometimes university level.

Experience
We require at least 3 years of relevant job experience for all rolls, mostly more.

Required experience for this roll:
Experience within test environment and I&V
• Experience as automation test specialist
• Significant experience with Linux shells and scripting languages, e.g. Bash, Python, Perl
• Experience with source control tools, e.g. GitHub
• Experience with CI/CD toolsets, e.g. Jenkins
• Familiarity with change control, delivery pipelines, release procedures and tools
• Track record of practical problem solving, excellent communication, and documentation skills
• Knowledge and experience of TCP/IP networking and telecoms protocols
English

Meriting
• Knowledge of electricity metering
• Experience and knowledge of agile software development processes
• Ability to interface to other organizations on technical basis
• Experience and knowledge of wireless networking systems and protocols
• Knowledge of RF hardware and software systems
• Knowledge of RF/EMC issues in custom embedded products

The Consultant roll
As a consultant you may be placed at different customers. UCG will assist with extra training when needed. As a consultant we need you to be flexible and to easily adapt to a new environment
