THE POSITION

We are looking for a senior developer to join our Operations Tools team, which focuses on making everyday life easier for customer service, operations agents and on-call developers by automating manual processes and designing necessary tooling. Besides software design and development, you will play a great part in the teams architectural decisions and make sure that they align with the rest of the platform and infrastructure. You will be part of an on-site team in an agile and QA-conscious tech organisation with high demands on reliability. Your technical decisions and corresponding implementation of solutions will help shape the success of the Operations department.

THE CHALLENGE AHEAD

We are offering a challenging position in a team that is bridging the gap between Cloud Platform, Operations and Development. You will be building solutions that help reduce incident resolution time as well as proactively prevent them across the platform. You will be involved in R&D and proof of concepts to leverage the latest and greatest technology to our best advantage in the competitive market.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone with at least 5-7 years of experience as a back-end developer. You should have an understanding of software development in a variety of languages. We want you to be a team player capable of acting independently. You identify yourself as a structured multi-tasker, who is able to persevere through tough challenges. You also enjoy make everyday life easier for your colleagues in a coaching and mentoring manner, taking ownership over different aspects of the daily work and have probably worked in a similar type of senior role before.

Successful candidates also meet the following requirements:

• Good understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure
• Solid experience in at least two objective oriented languages, such as: Node.js, Python, Java
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability of sharing own knowledge and experience to others

Bonus requirements that will make you stand out from the rest:

• Experience of APM (Application Performance Monitoring)
• Understanding of writing automated test suites
• Understanding of designing user-friendly UIs
