Application Developer to the Automotive Industry

About the role
Modis client within the Automotive Industry is currently looking for a Java Application Developer to one of the DevOps teams within the Technology Department. This team is responsible of features to initialize and control connectivity and service activation of the onboard telematics unit. Working with Continuous Delivery is extremely important, with team members taking responsibility to deliver high quality software – as micro services – all the way from requirements to production. Being a DevOps team, they also deploy, operate, support and maintain their applications and they do it on Cloud infrastructure (AWS).

About you
We are looking for a full-stack Java backend developer that has the ability to deliver high code and test quality using agile methods. Embracing principles such as iterative development, continuous refactoring and clean dry code.

Essential
Core Java 8, Core Spring, JMS (AMQ), REST, CI, test frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Wiremock etc), databases (Oracle, Postgres), Spring Boot, version handling (GIT, Subversion). At least three years of experience as Java developer.

Good to have
DevOps, micro services, NoSQL (Mongo), JS client frameworks (Angular, Aurelia), Fitnesse, Jenkins, Nexus, JBoss, Amazon Web Services, WMQ. Experience from telematics and/or the automotive industry is of course a plus.

Furthermore, we see that you are a positive team-player with a can-do personality and communicative skills.
