You will be working in a small team and hence should be able to cross over to many different areas of the development and not be afraid to take ownership of these, as well as taking initiative. This application is for a person that is able to jump straight in to the world generation part of our engine, improving upon and adding new features to it.

As a person we expect you to have an excellent analytical mind with an interest in game engine development. We believe that you have a positive attitude, are dedicated, team-spirited and love a challenge. You should have a relevant university degree, ideally with focus on computer science, computer engineering, mathematics or a related field.

Required skills
- Professional experience of C++ (minimum 2 years).
- As this is development of a game engine math skills are required, preferably Linear Algebra and Calculus.
- Ability to write modular code, we do not like spaghetti (we do but not code).

Good to have
- Game Engine Knowledge/Development, knowledge of other game engines and/or development of one.
- Compute Shader Knowledge, (GLSL) and the Graphics Pipeline.
- Vulkan Knowledge/Experience.
- Experience working with large projects.

Now to the fun part
We generate our worlds through a modular system where each module affects the outcome of the world. Not only will this influence the topology (by generating mountains, cliffs, overhangs and valleys) but also the more fine details of the world (trees, bushes and flowers). By adding biomes, on the surface as well as underground, the world can be as complex as you are creative.

If you are a person that loves graphical feedback on a robust design and are a bit artsy at heart then this is certainly for you. Example tasks will be designing a tool system for realtime changes to the world, iterating on biome design, creating a robust 3D-Noise for cave generation and much more.
