Rocktec Automation, is the global software and electronic hardware design center for Epiroc.
We are developing software solutions for all of our mining and construction products, everything from basic machine control to fully autonomous system remotely controlled from anywhere in the world. Epiroc with more than 200 software developers, qualify as one of Örebro’s largest automation and digitization companies. Except from our main development hub in Örebro we have offices on the major automation markets around the globe. Software developers
The market is changing and we are facing new challenges with a big demand of autonomous operations and Interoperability. The digital transformation within the Mining and construction area gives the possibility to improve customers’ entire production processes, not only control machine behavior.
Digitizing of processes, Edge computing, Situational Awareness, Traffic- and Fleet management are areas we are focusing on. To fulfil the customers’ need of interoperability and improve their productivity through optimization we are now expanding our software development teams within Fleet Management and Interoperability.
Job description
As a software developer in Fleet Management and Interoperability group at Rocktec division you will work with System integration and interoperability solutions. The teams are responsible for the whole chain of interoperability from collecting data on our machines to development of API´s and tools used by customers for planning and analysis of the machine information.
The development is done in various languages and formats as C++, C#, Python, Xml, etc. depending on what part of the interoperability chain your team is working on. To meet customer requirements we believe that customer visits and a continuous dialogue with the customer is a vital part of your job. We have a lot of expertise in the group and knowledge sharing is a keyword within our teams.
Personality requirements and qualifications
To succeed in this position you should be passionate about programming. You are also creative, driven and like new challenges. We are searching for a team player with a desire to contribute and are open to learn and improve. You also have strong English skills both verbally and in writing, as English is our primary language and you will be communicating with colleagues and customers around the globe.
You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Systems Analysis, Computer science or similar and have solid experience in software development. Experience in agile software development, continuous integration and unit testing is meritorious.
