Position description:
The VOC mobile app revolutionized the industry and every day we make life less complicated for hundreds of thousands of people by giving them remote access to the car from the comfort of their couch. With the app you can for instance start, heat and prepare the car for your trip by sending your destination to the car, either from your phone, tablet or your watch. But behind the scenes there’s so much more going on than just a mobile app.
Here in Gothenburg, you will thrive as part of a cross functional agile team and focus on the development of the in-vehicle software and supporting systems needed in order to present the functionality in the mobile app to the customer.
Main responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain the VOC embedded software running in the vehicles.
- Engage with the rest of the team and actively pull tasks from the backlog
- Write testable code and unit tests
- Code review your colleagues
- Keep an open mind, show interest in all parts of the solution and dip your toes into more parts than the embedded software.
- Follow technical trends and raise innovative new features
Required qualifications
- BSc degree in a computer related field or equivalent work experience as a software developer or be a passionate spare time developer
- Documented experience of previous embedded software projects
- Experience in writing testable and maintainable code.
- Fluent in C/C++ and a good understanding of embedded software challenges and Linux
- Excellent English, both verbally and written
Meritorious
- Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) projects and solutions
- iOS or Android mobile app development experience
- Experience in Microsoft Azure .NET development
- Experience in agile tools such as Jira, Git and Jenkins
- Experience in software development automation
- Driver’s license B
