Application Software Developer
We have an exciting opportunity for an Application Software Developer to join VGT Technology Department. The Application Software Developer understands the user requirements, validates such requirements with the stakeholders and delivers software design, software development, and unit testing services that support business requirements.
The unique combination of analysis, technical skills and knowledge of various configuration management tools and understanding of business requirements allows the Application Software Developer to analyse, build and manage software applications that are tailored to business specific needs.
Key Responsibilities
As an Application Software Architect you perform coding, unit testing and documentation of software units defined by the design document. Participate in software modification during integration testing. Adhere to the project/assignment timelines as agreed with the Project Manager or other authorized personnel. Develop efficient software according to business requirements within given time frame. Ensure compliance with relevant IT Services processes, methods and tools, and business processes
Desired Skills & Experience
You have a Bachelor or Master degree in computer science or equivalent training and experience:
You have proven experience building Java-based solutions for highly available and scalable systems
Experience in development and implementation of front end and back end applications
You have experience of Java performance testing and tuning and an understanding of infrastructure
You are experienced in Test Automation and Continuous Delivery
You are experienced in Agile development methods
