About the position:

ELITS is currently looking for Storage Engineers in Stockholm and Linköping.

As a Storage Engineer at ELITS you will be responsible for the migration, operation and installation of servers, some of the largest and most advanced storage systems in the world. Our customer is one of the world’s biggest provider of communications technology and services.

The tasks are divided to both individual and work in projects. It is important that you have a great ability to co-operate with customers, suppliers and colleagues. You will be a part of a team spans across several sites in Sweden, Germany, China, USA and Canada. The ability to handle teamwork and co-operation is an important skill to maintain a high standard and a quality delivery to our customers.

In the scope of your work, you may be responsible for:

- Migrating huge amounts of data from different sites around the world
- Acting on alarms and calls in order to resolve and avoid incidents.
- Working with incident resolution in cooperation with other support resources in order to restore normal service operation as soon as possible.
- Following daily routines and acts proactively to avoid service disruptions and outages.
- Make sure that all service documentation and information is up to date

Qualifications:

It is important that you can handle critical server solutions, and at the same time have a professional attitude, be able to organize your tasks and handle stressful situations. As a system administrator you should have a great interest in technology and the ability to visualize the customer needs.

Required experiences:

- In depth knowledge of Linux/UNIX AND/OR Windows
- A couple of years experience with Storage, preferably NetApp-Storage
- Installation, configuration and trouble shooting skills
- Able to handle TCP- and IP-based networks
- Experience working with incidents, problems, IT orders, requests, changes and releases
- Ability to work independently
- Fluency in English
- Experience working in large enterprise organizations is an big advantage
