Within Asset Optimisation and Trading we have centralised all asset optimisation and trading activities for the Vattenfall group. We are now looking for a Java developer located in Stockholm for our department Transaction and Position Management (TPM). The team is responsible for the systems and processes that manage the position of all of Vattenfall?s assets. The team is implementing new functionality, ensuring stable systems and running operational processes. On a continuous basis changes and improvements on the systems, processes, reports and calculations are implemented. TPM performs these tasks with a team of analysts and developers located in Amsterdam, Stockholm and Hamburg.

Tasks & responsibilities
- Develop new Java functionality and adjust existing ones
- Participate in the Scrum team
- Plan and execute unit and system tests
- Facilitate and participate in delivery reviews to assure and improve quality
- Incident management
- Work with analysts and requirement and test specialist to understand requirements
- Work with Central IT to ensure proper maintenance of the systems

Qualifications
- Academic degree in IT, engineering, or similar
- Solid and up to date Java knowledge
- Software craftsman and clean coder.
- Knowledgeable with SOA, Java EE, Spring, RDBMS
- Experience with Oracle Service Bus is a merit
- Interest in good architecture
- Proven experience in solving complex mathematical and logical problems using modern programming techniques
- Experience with agile methods is a merit
- Experience with Maven, Jenkins, Hudson, Subversion and/or GIT are merits
- Knowledge about energy markets and/or financial markets is an advantage

Location: Stockholm.

Travelling is required a few times a year to our sites in Amsterdam and Hamburg. You need to be fluent in English and Swedish, in speech and writing.
