Embedded software developer with passion for new technology

We are looking for a motivated person with passion for software development in embedded systems. As an embedded software developer at Sectra Communications, you will work closely with other developers and testers in one of our agile product development teams. You will work with embedded Linux systems and bare metal programming, both design and implementation. Among other things, this means you will always be challenged with complex problems, trying to find the best solution and balance between security, usability and availability.

In this position, you will:

Develop high-security software running on our own hardware for secure communications solutions.

Solve complex and interesting problems.

Be part of an agile development team working close to product owners and customers.
Be challenged to design and implement secure and effective embedded Linux systems.

Provide relevant documentation for the system being developed together with your team members.
Continuously maintain and evolve our built-in unit test system and automated test suite.
Monitor the market for security and technology related to our products.
Enhance our way of working - we can, and always want improve!

For this position, the following requirements apply:

PhD or Master’s degree in engineering, IT or equivalent with an excellent academic record.
Swedish citizenship and fluent in both English and Swedish.
You value quality and know what it means to deliver high-quality code.
You are curious about new technology and a strong problem solver.
Are well versed in low-level programming languages such as C/C++.
Willingness to improve and eager to learn, as well as sharing your knowledge with those around you.
Loves teamwork.

In addition, we consider it an asset if you also:

Have a strong interest in IT security.
Have experience in developing or testing embedded systems in agile environments.
Have knowledge about assembler language.

Are comfortable to work with electronics.
Have experience of working with embedded Linux solutions.

Speak more languages than those required above.
Have interests besides work, such as sports, sports leader, music, horseback riding, singing or flying (if you happen to have pilot’s license, you can fly to our customers in our own Sectra airplane) or anything else that makes you stand out from the crowd.
