Job description

We are looking for a Software Quality Automation Engineer to be part of our rapidly growing team. We work in cross-functional agile scrum teams developing cloud services for disease surveillance and systems administration in the Diagnostics area.

As a Software Quality Automation Engineer, you will work closely with software engineering and product owners to assure high quality of Cepheid’s software products throughout the entire product life-cycle. You will be responsible for developing automated tests and continuously improve our automated test environment.

Job responsibilities include:

• Participate in requirements analysis, risk analysis, configuration and change control.

• Analyze use cases and develop automated tests for integration and system testing

• Participate in developing/executing validation test protocols

• Participate in writing software test documentation

• Work closely with software engineering on reporting and resolution of design issues and software defects

• Participate in the implementation and continuous improvement of automated testing techniques to increase testing efficiency and test coverage

• Increase the use of UI test automation for web browsers (desktop and mobile)

• Contribute to the development and improvement of quality metrics

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent

• Experience (minimum 3-5 years) from automated software testing

• Experience from browser UI and Android UI automation environments,

• Experience from SQL or other RDBMS systems

• Proficient in one or several relevant programming/scripting languages.

• Ability to accurately estimate test development efforts

• Possess excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills

• Self-motivated, willing to learn new concepts, technologies and products quickly

• Strong interpersonal, writing and communication skills

• Flexible, innovative and driven

• Knowledgeable in QSR and Part 11 regulations

• Experience from Cybersecurity testing
