The System Tools team is part of the SW Development and System Test organization. The System Tools Engineers are responsible for the infrastructure for software development and system test, ranging from maintaining git/Gerrit and Jenkins to creating connections to the automatic test systems and statistical databases used to show the status of the software development. We work with Continuous Integration and utilize Jenkins for build and test.

As a Senior System Tools Engineer you will install, update, develop and administrate the system tools used in software development. You will develop and maintain scripts for system integration tasks. You are responsible to find and drive investigations, improvements and optimizations within all areas concerning assigned system tools software components.  You will be driving much of the work independently but of course also collaborate with our different teams delivering software to the Fingerprint products in a multi-site environment. You will have the responsibility to monitor the systems and perform high level analysis and debugging when issues are reported.

Who you are

• You are service-minded with a positive problem-solving attitude.

• You are structured and thorough with good communication skills.
• You are able to drive assignments independently and to self-manage priorities
• You have excellent skills in Java and script languages such as Bash and Python.
• You have expert knowledge about Linux servers and are used to working with virtualization.
• You bring valuable experience from previous work places where you have worked in similar roles (>3 years)
• You have an good understanding of CI/CD and software integration and delivery in general. Previous experience from CM role and/or system administrator is a strong plus.
• You have a M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Software, Computer or Electrical Engineering

System tools used: git/Gerrit, Jenkins, Artifactory, Grafana + other Visualization tools connected to statistical db.
