What´s in it for you?

Here is an opening for an exciting and developing job within Manufacturing Engineering. Software download & final test is a part of the team that see to that software functions for tomorrow’s car’s works in a global assembly and fine-tunes their attributes by testing in our box cars. You would work with the most interesting software download processes on the market as a software engineer 

What you will do

As software engineer you will perform fault tracing, analyse possible mismatch of software/hardware solutions, request updates, do minor programming yourself or arrange scripts in our test environments. Error handling is not a planned activity but complex systems of modern prototype vehicles is expected to have some degree of error states that need to be found and corrected so the cars can be used for their planned purposes. You will be a new member in our global Scrum team supporting all our plants worldwide.

Do you fit the profile?

You need to have a university degree or similar experience. You need to have very good automotive knowledge, especially for electronics and software as well as be proficient in English.  To summarize you also have the ability to travel, as this is something you will do in the role.

Meritorious
* Knowledge of VCATS, Script, Car diagnose or similar
* Experience as a vehicle technician or software engineer.

You have a big car/software interest, as this is beneficial for you to be able to perform and thrive in this role. You should be able to prioritize, take responsibility and maintain high quality in your job. The tasks require that you welcome and want to understand new technology, have software skills and independently obtain necessary information. In order for you to fully enjoy this job, you should be a person that has good problem-solving abilities as this is something you will do on a daily basis. Since you will have a lot of contact with different internal stakeholders, it is important that you have good communicative skills.  To conclude you are team player that values collaboration and also value the benefits of it.
