Working in a field where art, design, gameplay and sound comes together, feedback and teamwork skills are crucial in your daily work.What you will doBring life and excitement to the game through your design and implementation of compelling realistic visual effects.Coordinate with Art, Sound, Level & Game Design to ensure VFX match the quality bar and vision for the game.Design and take ownership of interdisciplinary vfx systems, material hit effects for example..Help to improve technical pipelines and VFX creation techniques/tools.Assist in research and development.Your work will range from creating gameplay effects to authoring large set piece destruction as well as creating background ambience to immerse the players in our worlds.RequirementsA graphical eye.5+ years of work experience within Visual EffectsStrong understanding of particle systems.Game engine experience, as in Unreal, Unity or similar.Contributed to the development of one or more shipped games for current Consoles or PC.Work well in a team environment.Strong communication skills.Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.Versatility, independence and a sense of initiative are your strong points.Nice-to-havesShipped at least 1 AAA or equivalent game.Development of cooperative games.Strong Warhammer interest.Houdini experience.A background in gaming.Degree in art or game design.Mastery of relevant software packages such as Photoshop, After Effects and Maya.Both technical and creative skills along with a strong artistic vision.Self-direction and the ability to work autonomously as well as with a team.What we offerHere at Fatshark, we do what we love most: design high-profile games for PC and consoles, with the passion and freedom of being indie.
