Instabox is a growing tech startup that wants to change the logistics industry. We deliver your parcel to one of our smart boxes, seven days a week, as it should be. You pick it up with a pin code, without ever having to spend a second waiting in line.
We started in 2015 with the first line of code written in a small basement in Stockholm. Today, we can proudly say that we still write our own code and that we now have over +350 smart boxes across the country.
We break new ground on a daily basis and our users keep getting amazed by our fast and convenient express deliveries. Since we are developing our own technology we can control everything from architecture to technology choices.
Job Description
In order to be able to deliver a good shipping experience, we are looking for a Developer who wants to be involved in building and expanding our logistics systems. As we build everything in-house, you will be part of projects involving sorting machines, route planning tools, building API:s and much more! In your role as a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our shipping and logistics service is as efficient and innovative as possible - with new technology and groundbreaking systems. You will mainly work with NodeJS and MongoDB, but we hate to limit ourselves, and do not hesitate to try new tech when necessary.
Who are we looking for?
- You love to code and are passionate about building efficient systems and to create something from scratch.
- It is meriting but not required to have a BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related discipline.
- You have been working in NodeJS and MongoDB.
- Experience with other languages and tools such as Golang, Python, PostgreSQL, redis and Kafka are meriting.
- At least 3 years experience as a Backend Developer.
- You have a holistic view around software, allowing you to understand the connection between hardware, physical processes and the software you build.
- Good English skills, both verbally and in writing.
As a person you are not afraid to take your own initiatives and like to focus on creating value for your team. You have good analytical and problem solving skills - always striving to find new solutions and to think outside the box. You are a team player, open to sharing your previous experiences and to learn from your team mates.

You will work closely with our other backend- and frontend developers who are all passionate about building and improving our products. Our office is located at Medborgarplatsen where you will sit together with the rest of our Tech team, currently consisting of 13 developers. We are a social group and afterwork activities are not uncommon.
